Thinking late June. A Satuday.
Al Lerman at the Old Church Theater what a treat. Wonderful original tunes with amazing harp accompaniment but I'm still chuckling from the love child of Henny Youngman humor that his between song monologue produced. His musical timing is precise his comedic timing is impeccable.
Hi Al.....just a note from the past...maybe 54 or 55 years ago....Congratulations on all your accomplishments Al...from an old Steele St. School guy !!!
Take care and if you are ever in Port Colborne again lets get a coffee....
Hey Tom! I just saw your post. Please email me your contact info to email@example.com. It would be great to see you sometime!!! I make down that way a couple times of year. -A.L.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed your show last night. Your amusing stories mixed in with your musical talents, make for a very entertaining evening! The audience is always able to relate to your anecdotes and appreciate the various types of songs you play. Your warm personality and ability to "treat people as you yourself would like to be treated", also contribute to your success. Keep up the good work!
Hey Al: My wife and I are coming to your show at The Cove tonight in Westport to celebrate my 70th today! I’m a blues fan and look forward to your set. So this will complete our tri-party celebration of my wife’s 70th also this year on July 12 and our 45th anniversary on July 7th. There’s got to be a blues song for such an occasion. See you tonight!
Al, your show at the Vancouver Island Musicfest made my day. Thanks for bringing us all a taste of vintage solo musicianship. I was one of those people giving you a seriously well-earned Standing O. Come back to the fest again soon man, you killed it.
Hey Al, it was great to meet you on The Canadian train from Toronto to Vancouver and we greatly enjoyed sharing a dining table with you and listening to your music and humour! I look forward to playing Slow Burn on my CD player once we are back home. All the best!
Just wanted to let you know that it was great to see and hear you at The Cadillac Lounge last night. A packed house for a Monday night...stormy too! Your ability to entertain, get some laughs in between songs and keep it fresh was indeed all that was needed. Your set list was on the money with something brand new, a little soul from Fathead, great to hear you pat those guys on the back. At full tilt, that was a band tough to top. Some newer stuff from Slow Burn, and a few standards you owned.
Your story about Sonny Terry and Brownie Magee to lead in to your final number for the set was a picture painted in history of Yorkville. Your rendition of the song was a fuc%king jaw dropper. Oh My God, what an opening act....
Thank you for your newsy email - great way to share info and keep in touch. I'm excited to hear about the featured artist on VIA rail across Canada - that is so fabulous!! I host a Blues radio show weekly called Blues Radio Canada and would love to set up a live interview by phone on Thursday evening. I play your music often and it would be a treat to have you on the show, Bluewater Blues.
Our Cobourg audience loved the concert last night! As always, you gave a wonderful show with great songs and a lot of laughs.
You are the world's easiest person to work with and we will look forward to your return engagement to another sold out house.
Thanks a million Al!
